X-ray of Periodontal Disease
A dental xray of a patient with periodontal (gum) disease. This is evident from the reduced height of alveolar bone. The row of green dots denote bone levels in a healthy young adult. The row of purple dots denote the actual bone level. The bone loss and thus periodontal disease is seen to be ‘generalised’ affect all the teeth. Bone loss around the lower right second molar tooth is seen to be almost total.
