X-Ray of Tooth abscess
The dental xray on the left shows a dental abscess on the lower left second premolar denoted by the red circle. The radiograph on the right shows the resolution of this apical infection after the dentist has carried out root canal treatment on the tooth, which was then restored with a crown. The radiolucent (darker) area can be seen to have significantly diminished in the ‘after’ xray when compared to the ‘before’ xray.
