Periodontal Disease Treatment (gum disease)
These intra oral dental photos show a case of gingivitis (gum disease) before and after successful treatment by a dentist. Periodontal diseases range from simple gingival inflammation (gingivitis) to chronic bacterial infection types that affect the gingival (gums) and bone supporting the teeth (periodontitis). Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease where the gingival become red, swollen, can bleed easily and if not treated, it can advance to periodontitis.
