Upper Partial Denture
The ‘before’ intra oral dental photo shows the upper anterior view of a patient missing his upper left and upper right central incisors. The ‘after’ intra oral photo shows the same patient where restoration of the missing teeth was achieved by the placement by a dentist of an upper removable prosthesis (upper partial acrylic denture). The lower picture shows a palatal (top) view of the denture constructed on a stone model of the patient’s mouth. A ‘horse shoe’ shaped acrylic palate can be seen, which can often be a more comfortable to tolerate, particularly in patients with a very high, deep palate as in this instance. The final cosmetic appearance of the smile with the overlapping incisors conformed to the position of the original teeth prior to their loss.
